It is focused on providing data for digital maps, various supporting technologies, and services for the automotive, consumer, and corporate sectors. The client’s technology is based on cloud-computing models, in which location data and services are stored on remote servers, so users have access to them no matter what device they use.

Our client’s product captures localization content, such as road networks, buildings, parks, and stereotypes of everyday road traffic. Such content is then resold or licensed along with navigation services and solutions to other companies such as Alpine, Garmin, BMW, Oracle, or Amazon.com. In addition, it provides services in the form of a comprehensive platform for various mobile devices and operating systems, location services for its own applications, as well as solutions for GIS and clients, government institutions and enriches major map service providers such as Bing, Facebook, and Yahoo! Maps.

• offers voice-guided navigation in 94 countries,
• provides up-to-date traffic information in 33 countries and has mapped and available about 49,000 unique buildings in 45 countries.

What we do:

The Ness team in Košice has worked and is working on a number of interesting projects, which include not only various internal tools that process or evaluate data, but also several end data products used by companies creating end-to-end car navigation systems or fuel-saving adaptive cruise control and so on.
